10x Dental vs Arini vs Dentina vs Mango Voice: Which AI Fits a Dental Practice?

If you are shopping AI for the dental front office, you will hear Arini, Dentina, Mango Voice, and 10x Dental in the same week. One is a phone system with a backup receptionist. Two are inbound-heavy AI receptionists. 10x is built to work the overdue list and book it. This page is the map; the individual comparisons go deeper.

Comparison of 10x Dental, Arini, Dentina, and Mango Voice for dental practices

Most of these tools can talk on the phone. That is not a useful filter. The question that actually changes production is: does it complete the booking against a live schedule, and does it work the patients already in your PMS, or does it wait for the phone to ring?

Read the individual write-ups if you are down to two vendors: 10x Dental vs Arini, 10x Dental vs Dentina, and 10x Dental vs Mango Voice.

What each company actually sells

  • Arini is an AI receptionist for dentists, Y Combinator backed, built first around inbound voice. Their public pitch is that practices miss a large share of calls and that most appointments still get booked by phone. They also sell outbound reactivation, confirmations, and texts.
  • Dentina is an AI receptionist founded by a dentist. The homepage promise is inbound coverage plus outbound recalls, confirmations, and reactivations, with bookings written into the PMS. Treatment follow-up is listed on their site as coming later.
  • Mango Voice is a dental phone system: calling, texting, fax, caller ID from the PMS, call recordings. Margo is their AI receptionist add-on. On Mango's own Margo page, she answers when staff cannot, captures what the caller needs, and sends the team a call report so they can follow up.
  • 10x Dental is AI that runs hygiene recall, unscheduled treatment follow-up, and missed-call answering, then writes confirmed appointments into the PMS. The job is filling chairs from patients you already have, not replacing the phone company.

The differences that show up on the schedule

  • Primary leak they talk about. Arini: missed inbound calls. Dentina: missed calls and missed recalls. Mango: the front desk cannot pick up, plus phone infrastructure. 10x: the overdue and unscheduled lists sitting in the PMS, plus the calls that ring out.
  • Does it book, or does it create a task? 10x, Arini, and Dentina all market PMS booking. Margo, as Mango describes her, is backup coverage that produces a structured report and a follow-up for your team.
  • Outbound recall. This is 10x's center of gravity: daily conversational recall until the patient books or opts out. Dentina sells recall and reactivation as a core pair with inbound. Arini offers outbound as part of a receptionist suite. Mango is not a recall engine.
  • Unscheduled treatment. 10x runs this as a live pipeline today. Dentina's site listed treatment follow-up as a later module. Ask Arini and Mango to show a live unscheduled-treatment booking, not a slide.
  • Phone system. Only Mango is the actual phone stack. 10x sits on top of the numbers and PMS you already have.

Who should shortlist whom

  • Pick Mango Voice if you need new phones, call recording, SMS on the practice number, and a backup when the desk is full. Do not expect it to work your hygiene list.
  • Pick Arini if the pain you feel every day is the inbound line: lunch, after hours, overflow. Ask them to prove recall conversion with live PMS writeback, not just call-answer rates.
  • Pick Dentina if you want a dentist-built inbound-plus-recall receptionist and their PMS list matches yours. Ask when treatment follow-up is actually live for your office.
  • Pick 10x Dental if the hole is production from patients already in the database: overdue hygiene, unfinished treatment, and missed calls that should have been appointments. Hear a recorded booking and look at first-month results before you sign.

If you only remember one thing: an answered call that becomes a callback task is not the same as an appointment on tomorrow's column. For the broader category, see what an AI dental receptionist actually does.

Out of every technology we've integrated into our practice, 10x has produced the largest ROI by far.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between 10x Dental, Arini, Dentina, and Mango Voice?

Mango Voice is a dental phone system with an AI backup receptionist. Arini and Dentina are AI receptionists built first around answering (and, in Dentina's case, also recalling). 10x Dental is built to work hygiene recall, unscheduled treatment, and missed calls until the appointment is on the PMS schedule.

Which AI dental receptionist is best for recall?

Ask who works the overdue list every day, holds a two-way conversation, and writes the booking back into Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or your PMS. That is 10x's core product. Dentina also markets recall. Arini markets outbound as part of a receptionist suite. Mango is not a recall product.

Can I use 10x Dental with my existing phone system?

Yes. 10x is not a replacement PBX. It runs recall and missed-call workflows on top of the phones and practice management software you already have.

Do these tools replace the front desk?

No. The useful ones take after-hours and list-work the desk never finishes. Your team still greets the patient in the office. A tool that only leaves a callback still needs a human to finish the booking.
